The client: The Southern Sun Hotel Group is a well-established company with a rich history dating back to the 1930s. The company has grown to become one of South Africa’s leading hotel groups, known for its high-quality accommodation and exceptional service. Southern Sun operates a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts, catering to both the business and leisure traveler.
The brief: To create a series of commercials a that highlight various aspects of Southern Sun: A TV commercial promoting the hotel group’s involvement in the Cape Town Carnival, Stadium advertisements at some of the biggest sporting events across South Africa, A documentary celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beacon Island Resort., amongst others.
The result: A series of elegant, capturing and meaningful commercials showcasing Southern Sun’s involvement in the Cape Town Carnival, Sporting events/stadiums and their history with the Beacon Island Resort Short Documentary.
Cool Ideas Promo
The client: Cool Ideas is a south African fiber internet provider that is fast becoming one of the leading internet providers in the country. They focus on making cool ideas a reality for the people of South Africa through their Fiber services. Recently they sponsored the Cool Ideas Nemesis yacht that left the shores of Cape Town to take part in the Cape2Rio 2023.
The brief: To create a promotional video highlighting the team and sponsors of the Cool Ideas Nemesis taking part in the Cape2Rio 2023.
The result: An adventurous and inspiring 2 minute and 30 second promotional video showcasing the “Cool Idea”, team and sponsors of the Cool Ideas Nemesis heading to Cape2Rio 2023.
The Legacy Series
The client: The Southern Sun Hotel Group is a well-established company with a rich history dating back to the 1930s. The company has grown to become one of South Africa’s leading hotel groups, known for its high-quality accommodation and exceptional service. The Southern Sun Entrepreneurs programme currently provides business mentorship, leadership coaching and arrange of business benefits to 162 enterprises in various industries across South Africa.
The brief: To produce a short docuseries highlighting entrepreneurial businesses taking part in the Entrepreneurs Program lead by Southern Sun Hotels. Each episode should highlight 1 entrepreneurial business.
The result: The production of more than 80 episodes of The Legacy Series, capturing stories of inspiring entrepreneurs across South Africa. Each episode has encapsulated the history,products/services and motivation of an entrepreneurial business in South Africa.The latest season now airs on ETV and ENCA. These docuseries episodes have provided a platform for various entrepreneurs across South Africa, to market their business and share their “Hero’s Journey” story.
