The primary objective of this campaign was to create brand awareness and recognition for Southern Sun as the official accommodation partner of The Springbok Rugby Team, distinguishing them from their competitors as the preferred home-away-from-home for major international sporting teams. To portray this, we created a full multimedia campaign for distribution among multiple channels.
Having sponsored a yacht crewed by an all-South African team in the prestigious Cape2Rio Yacht Race, the Internet Service Provider Cool Ideas wanted to ensure that sufficient PR and awareness was generated surrounding the shared values of themselves and the sponsored Nemesis Yacht.
This campaign aimed to position Southern Sun as the official accommodation partner of The Cape Town Carnival whilst celebrating the vibrant and cultural tapestry of the Mother City. Simultaneously, it’s goal was to boost event specific retail sales at select Southern Sun Hotels whilst encouraging domestic tourism.
